Looking Down

An unexpected perspective helped illustrate that it’s better to be looked down on for speaking up than after taking a fall.

  • Brief: Encourage tradespeople to engage in safety conversations.

Insight: Studies show that in-group reputation is the number-one reason construction workers decline to raise concerns about on-site safety, but avoiding the issue often results in injury or worse.
